Few simple steps to follow to set data validation by providing a selection list in a cell in Google Sheets:

1. Go to the cell, you want to provide options to.
2. In the top menu bar, go to Data – Data Validation.

4. Select the ‘List of items’ in the Criteria and add your options separated by commas.
